This parka is one of the first Galvin Green garments made from Pertex® Shield. Waterproof, breathable, and incredibly light, Shield fabrics have been designed for outdoor activities where weather and breathability are key. Designed to be fully circular and bluesign® approved, this fabric combines a lightweight face fabric with a highly breathable waterproof membrane, Pertex® Shield is soft, quiet, and offers uncompromising levels of comfort and protection.


The Harry parka combines the premium high-tech design solutions of Galvin Green’s golf apparel collections with a new approach to design - resulting in a highly functional, slick and stylish waterproof parka ideal for the urban environment.

This hooded parka is waterproof, windproof, and lightweight - making it easy to wear in the city, during travel, or on the move. The 100% recycled fabric combines a high-tech waterproof face fabric with a highly breathable membrane, designed to be incredibly light, soft, and quiet. Features include a fully hidden central two-way zip, front pockets, two inner pockets, discreet reflective strips and a drawstring hood with an extended brim. With a lightweight mesh lining, Harry was designed with comfort and convenience in mind.

A top quality jacket with one caveat

I would rate the jacket 4.9/5 but cannot do that with the system used.

The fit is slightly too big - I bought a Large and a Medium would have been a bit too small.

The biggest - and only - complaint is that the hood is far too big. Yes it is adjustable but not by nearly enough. Peripheral vision is almost non-existent.

However, it is a great length for keeping most of me dry when out and about. The magnetic closure is better than buttons. The inside pocket is large enough and the pocket which is accessible without unzipping the jacket is a great design feature.
