The culmination of years of testing, Ames is our first PERTEX® Shield Stretch Technology golf rain jacket. Made from a 100% waterproof, windproof fabric that is stretchy and extremely breathable, Ames ensures protection from the elements without restricting your freedom of movement.

Packed with features, the Ames golf rain jacket with chest panel is one of our most thought-through garments. Details include chest tabs for adjustable chest width while you swing, cuffs with particle elastic and a convenient touch and close fastener, repositioned side seam for less friction while you swing, elastic drawstring hem and adjustable cuffs. This ISO-tested fabric has a PFC free water repellent treatment and a “slide and glide” interior meaning you can slip the jacket on and off easily even while wearing several layers underneath. TECHNOLOGY: PERTEX® Shield 3-layer stretch

Pertex Shield stretch garments have a hydrophilic PU membrane, designed to attract and retain water molecules due to the membrane’s “water-loving” nature. This 3-layer fabric is softer and more stretchy, and creates a superior next-to-skin comfort with a ‘slide’n’glide’ effect to reduce friction with garments worn underneath, and guarantees 100% waterproofness. Pertex® fabrics are PFAS-free, making them a better choice for you to wear, use and rely on – year after year.

A hydrophilic PU membrane due to its 'water-loving' properties, occasionally cause a slight puckering effect on the surface of the material, particularly on lighter-coloured garments, when exposed to heavy moisture. Please rest assured, this is not a fabric defect, and the material will return to its smooth texture once fully dry.

Brilliant waterproof jacket

My wife had complained about how her “tailored jacket “ didn’t allow her to wear her layers under her jacket. She was jealous off mine so we decided to try this “male” one. She loves the colours and the freedom of the jacket and it’s been fully test on a very wet Irish day on the course and delighted how dry she remained. Highly recommend.

The ultimate jacket for the elements!

This is my 2nd Galvin Green waterproof jacket and the quality is second to none! The jacket fits perfectly and is so comfortable when playing golf, adjustable cuffs and chest straps enable you to really dial in the fit when swinging a club. It's quiet when playing and has a good amount of stretch so it hardly feels like you're wearing it on the course. The water just repels off the material and the back of the jacket is a touch longer than the front so it covers really well. So happy with this piece and will be wearing it a lot even on cooler days when it's not raining.

All the inside seams are very well finished. Navy is a nice color for our winter rain, mud and cold. The longer back of the jacket will keep warm.
