I already have GG rain gear but wanted a jacket that could help in 40-50 F weather with 10-20 mph winds and some rain, this jacket works for me (6’ 200 lbs) at the XL size and allows for a couple of layers underneath. Changes I would prefer, adjustable sleeve cuffs, a Napoleon zip pocket on outer chest. It works to swing easy, decent length below waist and reasonable warmth. What l’ve learned is to have material that helps against the wind first, rain second and the warm effect, GG does it for me.

Won’t be able to test it out on the golf course. Courses in Duluth, MN have closed for the seasont. I did try it out on a casual walk. 38 degrees and a bit of wind and it performed great.

I was looking for a cooler weather shell jacket (Oregon USA late fall/winters), that was not a full Gore-Tex rain suit. Softer, better breathability, stretch. Yet, still provide decent wind resistance and warmth. And a good fit (not too tight, nor to loose). The Lyndon jacket delivers on all these areas, exceptionally well! The GG quality and materials continue to be amongst the best I have found in the market. GG has become my go-to outwear brand. I own a GG full rain suit, this Lyndon jack, and several vests. They all are amazing and have their place in my golf wardrobe. Just tried a mid layer and like it too. Only area of possible concern for some on this Lyndon jacket is that the arms are longer than the rain jackets. I was initially concerned they would be too long. But after a round in the Lyndon, I actually like the longer arms. Good for full swings, and they did not drop below my wrists. Well done. Warmth is 4 out of 5. Not a heavy winter jacket alone, but warmer than a shell. With a good mid layer, you can layer to make warmer.
