I still have a previous model jacket, eight years old, that although the age is still very elastic and give me a nice soft feeling. The new one continues to be comfortable but have a little more rigidity compared with the older one.
I ordered the Armstrong Waterproof golf jacket along with waterproof pants and neck warmer (separate order a few days later). Unfortunately, the jacket was too small, when wearing a warm top underneath, so I returned this for a larger size, however there were no large sizes in stock at the time and therefore I received a refund. This was a sale item, so I will have to look into placing another order for the correct size.

Impressive
The most thing I like about this jacket is its fit. I’m 6’2” with wide shoulder and longer arm. Large fits just fine. It fits so well and yet I can comfortably swing. I haven’t tried it during the rain but I trust my friends experience. Good purchase.

Armstrong Waterproof Jacket
I have worn the jacket twice now in moderate rain showers and cool (mid 50s F) temperatures. The jacket has performed admirably, keeping me completely dry both times. I especially appreciate the fit flexibility which allows a full, complete body turn.

Just the job
Nice looking lightweight waterproof. Adjustable side velcroy strips looks the part. Size large is ideal for my 42 inch stocky frame. Hasn’t improved my golf game tho!

Lightweight but great jacket at great price
Excellent service from Galvin Green - great price on the site and speedy delivery. Jacket is quite light but will be perfect for spring-autumn months. Would need to layer up if you are planning to use this jacket in winter. Also have an Albert waterproof jacket and that’s def better suited for winter golf with the added thickness but can’t wait to be using this Armstrong jacket early next year. With it being light, also won’t take up much room in the bag.

Jacket Size and Broad Shoulders, my opinion
I recently purchased and used these on my latest golf trip to Minnesota in which it rained 2 of the 3 days, that jacket works great so the quality is unmatched. I am 6' and 200 lbs with broad shoulders and waiver with large or XL in jackets/shirts. I chose the XL Armstrong and it worked very well, still slim fit but room for other tops underneath. Waterproof but didn’t breath as hoped
So far only worn it twice while playing golf in the rain. Definitely waterproof although still found it stick to my arms. Not as breathable as I had hoped.
I ordered 1 size big for me, could have been 2 sizes big. Fits small.
