Just not the same.

I’ve been a used of GG for 20 years and always been super impressed with the quality of their product.

I needed a new pair of waterproof trousers quickly so ordered online and not in a store. Sadly the quality of materials and general feel of the ones I bought were so disappointing. If I hadn’t of needed them so quickly I would have sent them back for a refund. At £200+ I think that now other manufacturers offer a comparable product for less money.

Looks like I’ll be parting company from a brand I loved.

Great Pants

It was time to buy a new pair or trousers, given my old Galvin Green suit is 15yrs old.

The top remains perfect, the trousers are only slighty worn around the bottom edges and are still waterproof, but the new pants are great. The material and look have improved along with the style, and fit perfect.

Shouldn't of waited so long.

Definitely recommend.

Great Pants

Go slightly shorter in pants length

Product and quality are unmatched, and the size in the waist is just fine, I am 6' and opted for the shorter pants (my normal is 32") which works great and don't drag on the ground.

Look - if you want to actually stay dry you NEED Galvin Green gear. It is 100% waterproof and yet breaths very well - I get it, it's a bit more $$ but well worth it!!

Don't Wait To Buy These

Only had to used them a couple of times but already realised I should have purchased them years ago. Weather was wet & cold, I was not bothered by either, the other issue that normally occurs is sweating but that didn't happen either. GG your stuff is expensive, I'm fortunate to be able to spend this much money, golf clubs are dear enough people don't need there wet weather gear to rival it, you don't need to deny everybody the chance to use the best gear there is by over pricing it because it's great.

Great waterproofs, but not as good as they were!

I have been a fan of Galvin Green waterproofs for approximately 25 years. They are in my opinion the best available. However, the features that now come as standard are nowhere near as good as they used to be unless you buy the £400+ trousers. No longer do you get access to your trouser pockets (if wearing them underneath), they just have regular pockets - that aren’t actually that good as they are too shallow - and they no longer have a hard wearing strip at the bottom of the legs to prevent them wearing thin. My old pair of lined trousers also used to have two press studs at the waist (there’s only one now) so this can pop open now. The elastic waist is also drown-graded to a single, thin, adjustable piece of elastic that no longer fastens at the front. Notwithstanding all these comments, the trousers are still very good. However if they get any worse I will start to look at other brands: something I thought I’d never be saying after being a loyal customer for such a long period, who has converted many friends to GG when they used to joke at how much I was prepared to spend on my waterproofs. The gap is closing!! Don’t take us for granted Galvin Green!!!

The perfect waterproof golf pant

Very comfortable. Just the right width in the legs. Like the drawstring tightener at the back. They only zip part way up the leg - which I prefer. Pockets are easy to use. Love the fact they come in different lengths. Finally, customer service was excellent. Purolater claimed to have delivered the pants when they actually had not. GG just sent me a new pair. No issues.
